Fork Road, like its name suggests, connects Baldwin to the community of Fork. Long Green Pike carries on south to Glen Arm, before ending just a short distance later.

Not much is recorded of Baldwin's history. The Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad, sometimes called "Ma and Pa", had a stop in this community before it ultimately stopped running. This stop was closed in 1958.
Baldwin also has a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hidden Valley Farm is located at 2916 Greene Road and is considered both a farm and home.
