Baldwin is located in Baltimore County, near the geographic center of Maryland. It is a primarily rural area featuring acreages and larger residential lots.

The unincorporated community has a population of approximately 3,300. It is serviced by a series of small businesses, with most major amenities located in nearby towns.

Baldwin is approximately 35 minutes northeast of Baltimore, accessible via various routes, including Interstates 83, 95 and 695. Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is also within a 40 minute drive.

Baldwin Real Estate

Baldwin is a primarily rural area; however, its proximity to other towns in both Baltimore County and adjacent Harford County provide easy access to shopping, dining, and recreational amenities.

Baldwin is home to a small number of small businesses along Long Green Pike Road, including High’s, a local convenience store, Palmisano’s, a local deli and coffee shop, and Valley Wine & Spirits.

The nearest commercial and cultural center, Bel Air, is less than 20 minutes away, offering big-box retailers, Harford Mall, many community parks and other recreational opportunities. It also features a charming, historical downtown core, and many community events and festivals.

Outdoor enthusiasts can explore nearby Gunpowder Falls State Park, and the Sweet Air Area, offering 1250 acres and 18 miles of hiking trails. The Little Gunpowder Falls offers excellent licensed fishing, with many species of fish. Agritourism is also thriving in this area, with numerous local farms and wineries. Attractions of note include DeJon Winery, Boordy Vineyards, the Hybridoma Organic Fruit Farm, Prigel Family Creamery, and Fresh Mackenzie.

The area is serviced by Baltimore County Public Schools. Students in grades K-5 attend local Caroll Manor Elementary School. High school students attend schools in neighboring communities, including the highly-rated Fallston Middle School, and Fallston High School.
