15 Hazlett St rehoboth beach, DE, 19971View Listing
Much like the other resort beach communities along Delaware’s Atlantic Coast, Rehoboth Beach routinely sees a massive influx of visitors during the sunny summer months. Beachgoers are drawn to the small village mainly for the absolutely pristine beach, but also the extremely walkable boardwalk that is lined with a delightful selection of bars, restaurants, hotels and boutique shops.
The beach community is routinely credited as the “Nation’s Summer Capital”. Its coastal position is conveniently central to several of the major cities that line the eastern seaboard - Washington DC, Baltimore, New York City among numerous others. For decades, it's been the beach destination of choice for many big-city residents.
The boardwalk and beach are a lively environment. And the addition of the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand has only added to this energy. The bandstand is the setting for many live performances in the summer time that further stokes the party atmosphere.
Rehoboth Beach enjoys an impressively robust and varied real estate market. On the upper end, there are numerous multi-million dollar estates lining the coast’s pristine beaches. Many of these properties boast incredible ocean views as a primary selling feature, while providing direct walk-on access to the sandy shores.
On the more affordable end, the village has been able to remain remarkably attainable to even those just entering the market. Beautiful townhomes and condos with incredible amenities also line the shorelines. There are also numerous stunningly finished downtown condos and lofts found in the more centralized commercial district of Rehoboth Beach.
In the mid-range of the market, interested home buyers will find numerous Cape Cod style properties and unique character homes that have been artfully remodeled and updated. Rehoboth Beach’s delightful selection of beach bungalows and cottages make it hard to go wrong no matter which segment of the market you’re interested in.
Rehoboth Beach is a shining gem in an area already overflowing with a wealth of absolutely stunning destinations. The village is part of Delaware’s “Cape” region that has long been the preferred vacation destination for residents across Delaware and the other north eastern states. Along with other resort communities like Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island, the region is fast establishing itself as a hotspot across the United States, from coast to coast.
Aside from the beach, Delaware’s coastal region features many absolutely beautiful state parks and nature preserves. Rehoboth Beach is truly at the center of it all. Just to the north, Cape Henlopen State Park features dunes and the fascinating vestiges of Fort Miles, a former military base. Watch towers can still be spotted and explored along this section of sandy coastline. Just south of Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach is the stunning Delaware Seashore State Park that lies on a sandbar, between the protected waters of Rehoboth Bay and the wide-open Atlantic Ocean
Of course, Rehoboth Beach has a lot going on within its modest 1-square mile. The booming boardwalk area that runs the length of its coastal area features a refreshing mix of restaurants, bars and hotels, in addition to unique shops and boutiques. Of course, there are your touristy shops, but amid those visitors and residents will find a number of fascinating, locally owned establishments.
