Columbia Community Living

Columbia is located in Howard County, southwest of Baltimore

Columbia, MD was founded by developer James W. Rouse who set out to build a suburban community that eliminated the inconveniences of the classic subdivision design. Rouse imagined an idyllic city that was free from discrimination and was rich in community involvement. As a result, Columbia was built with seven distinct neighborhoods that had endless lists of amenities.

All of Columbia’s neighborhoods have easy access to parks and playgrounds where children can play with friends from around the community. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants, so you never have to travel far to pick up what you need.

Although every neighborhood has its own convenient amenities, at the center of the city is The Mall in Columbia that has everything you could possibly imagine. There are over 200 stores, an array of restaurants, and even a movie theater.
