Choosing only the most experienced and hardworking agents to represent the Creig Northrop Team is one of the ways we earned our recognition as the #1 Real Estate Team in Maryland*. We want agents with excitement and enthusiasm about the industry and who believe in our vision of being the best real estate agency in not just Maryland, but in the entire industry.
Meet full-time sales agent Rhonda O’Guinn, REALTOR®, ABR®, CNE. Rhonda has been a real estate agent since 2007 and served as River Hill Covenant Advisor for the Columbia Association for two years. Her reputation as a dedicated, knowledgeable real estate agent has led her to be featured on the HGTV Network and in Electronic House magazine. She is an active member of her church, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and has an affinity (slight obsession) for shoes.
Let’s hear about Rhonda’s passion for real estate in her own words:
1. What inspired you to get into Real Estate?
I felt like I could earn a living and help people move forward in their lives at the same time.
2. What is your favorite part of being an agent?
When my clients are able to go to the next phase because I helped them buy or sell a house. I have clients from when I first started and I’m able to watch their kids grow up. I love that!
3. What is your most memorable moment of being a real estate agent so far?
I sold the family home for my girlfriend’s dad. He is approaching his 90’s and had his house listed with another agent for almost a year. The prior agent didn’t communicate, stage, do open houses, or recommend a much-needed price reduction to get the property sold. I finally got the price where it needed to be and ended up with multiple offers. I was able to negotiate acceptable terms for a challenging home inspection and I got the job done.
4. How does it make you feel when you close a sale?
I feel thankful, happy and accomplished.
5. Why do you enjoy selling homes in Maryland in particular?
Because there are so many geographic options to serve all price ranges of buyers and sellers through my work. I work a lot in my home base county of Howard, but I also tell my clients, buyers and sellers, that I am everywhere that THEY want to be. That works well for them. They know that I am committed to their goal and they don’t worry that I am not a Carroll County or Montgomery County agent. They know that I am dedicated and I will find answers through my extensive Northrop Team network!
