I’m Janie Bjork, a Maryland real estate agent serving buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Howard County, including Columbia, Clarksville, Glenwood, Ellicott City, and the surrounding communities. I bring a highly strategic, data-driven approach to residential real estate, backed by more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in corporate real estate, acquisitions, and financial analysis.

Before transitioning into residential real estate, I served as Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities for a $39 billion financial institution, where I led complex real estate strategies, negotiated high-value transactions, and managed large-scale property portfolios. Throughout my career, I have structured and negotiated transactions ranging from $1 million to more than $40 million and delivered measurable results, including more than $1.4 million in negotiated real estate savings.

I hold a Master of Science in Finance and bring advanced expertise in financial modeling, market analysis, and investment evaluation, allowing my clients to make informed, confident real estate decisions.

My background also includes extensive experience in construction, design, and space optimization, helping clients better understand a property's true potential.

Outside of real estate, I enjoy running races for charity, traveling, skiing, and exploring my passion for design and fashion—interests that shape how I see homes and spaces.
