Many homes have upwards of four bedrooms with some containing as many as six, making these estates perfect for large families with children. These homes are also great for those looking to make their home a second income property by renting out the basement, or remote workers looking to create a secluded home office.

Yards in Marriottsville are exquisite, with beautifully landscaped gardens and well manicured lawns. In the back, many of these properties enjoy lush shrubbery in private, fenced in settings — perfect for hosting entertaining parties and barbecues with friends, or enjoying the picturesque Maryland landscape during quiet evenings with family.

Marriottsville History

The name "Marriottsville" allegedly derives from General Richard Marriott. There are two properties in Marriottsville found on the National Register of Historic Places: Forest View (a historic home located in the general area of the community) and Waverley Mansion. Construction on the former first began in 1861, whilst the latter was built in 1756.

Ivy Hill, another Marriottsville historic home, does not appear on this list, but is instead part of the Maryland Historical Trust.
