Harford County is a county in the state of Maryland. Located in the northeast portion of the state, it borders the Susquehanna River, Chesapeake Bay, and Pennsylvania to the north. Harford County is surrounded by Cecil County (to the east) and Baltimore County (south and west). 


There is an abundance of land for sale and waterfront properties in Harford County. Communities in Harford County include Bel Air, Belcamp, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Edgewood, and Jarrettsville. The county seat is Bel Air. 


As of 2021, the population of Harford County is just under 263,000.


All three of Harford County's main highways lead into Baltimore. They are, from north to south, U.S. Route 1, the I-95, and U.S. Route 40. Havre de Grace, which was once in consideration to be the nation's capital, is connected to Baltimore City by the I-95. It's about a 45-minute drive to the downtown core.

Due to its proximity to Amtrak and Aberdeen Proving Ground stations, Aberdeen, one of Harford County’s fastest-growing communities, is popular with first-time home-buyers and commuters. The largest town in the county is Bel Air, which is packed with charming boutiques, Victorian style houses, and numerous parks.

Edgewood and Havre De Grace are two areas where there are quite a few new developments, however these are mainly townhomes for the former.

Luxury homes for sale in this county are built in a multitude of styles, from Colonial to Farmhouse, but come equipped with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and ample square footage.

Its easy access to the I-95 corridor and its family-oriented communities afford Harford County residents a small-town lifestyle with big-city amenities. Central Harford County is roughly 35 miles (or 45 minutes) from downtown Baltimore
