Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Introduces New Logo

COLUMBIA, Md.—The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster, which represents buyers and sellers of residential real estate in the Baltimore-Washington region, introduced its new logo, a compass star colored in red, white, black and yellow. The colors, which come from the Maryland flag, represent the Northrop Team’s commitment to the Maryland community. 

“The Creig Northrop Team holds strong roots in Maryland,” said Creig Northrop, president of the team. “I graduated from the University of Maryland and continue to support Maryland causes. We’re committed to Maryland and its residents, and our new logo reflects that loyalty.”

Two Northrop Properties Selected for HGTV “Doory Awards”

COLUMBIA, Md.—The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate represents two properties selected as finalists for HGTV’s “Doory Awards,” which recognize unique homes on the market. The Northrop Team’s finalists are a manor home in Ellicott City, Md., and a coastal-style home in Ocean City, Md. 

“The Doory Awards” debuted on HGTV’s in 2012 and grew from the organization’s desire to celebrate notable homes for sale, despite the perception of a stale market. Editors with HGTV and Zillow, a real estate website, chose the finalists this year.

2012 Howard County Heart BallAs sponsors of the 2012 Howard County Heart Ball on Saturday, May 5th, Creig & Carla Northrop were pleased to witness nearly 400 guests celebrating and supporting the American Heart Association’s mission. Carla’s dedication as a member of the Auction Committee and Creig’s willingness to yet again lend his signature voice and passion to the Live Auction resulted in a record breaking year for the Open Your Heart Dollars Campaign! In addition, we are thrilled to announce that the monetary goal set by the American Heart Association was exceeded by $80,000 resulting in a net of $295,000 for this year’s Heart Ball! The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate has renewed its partnership for the second consecutive year with University of Maryland Athletics and the USO of Metropolitan Washington in its sponsorship of the “Hoops for Heroes” program.

Last year The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate donated $14,300 to the USO of Metropolitan Washington by donating $100 for each three-pointer scored by the Terrapins during the 2010-2011 men’s basketball regular season. “The USO’s role is to do the little things to boost morale and let our nation’s service men and women know they are supported and appreciated,” said Elaine Rogers, president of the USO of Metropolitan Washington.

Northrop: Certainly we face the challenges of the market and financing arenas. A huge challenge is getting people qualified because of stricter guidelines and the fact that appraisers are stricter on value. It’s challenging to get people confident in the economy and the housing market. Let’s face it; once they do decide to buy they have to jump through 1000 hoops for financing.
