In our continuous effort to provide the best real estate services in Maryland, we have moved our Montgomery County office to a new, updated facility in Silver Spring. The move took place during the week of July the 4th and just as Independence Day is a remembrance of the birth of our nation, we are proud to part of the re-birth of downtown Spring Hill as one of Montgomery County’s most vibrant and exciting urban centers.
“Silver Spring has seen a major revitalization in the last decade, exploding into a major boom area we’re excited to join,” said Creig Northrop, president and CEO of the Northrop Team. “Unique community spaces, public transportation and locally owned businesses, like microbreweries and coffee shops, make up Silver Spring, and we’re now right in the middle of it all.”
Our new office address is 8737 Colesville Road, Suite 102, which puts right in the heart of Silver Spring, near downtown’s revitalized, pedestrian-friendly parks and plazas. Within footsteps of our new offices are downtown’s incredible 440,000-square-foot shopping center, bustling with lively sidewalks and storefronts. This new hub of activity includes popular retail shops as well as dining experiences from casual like Burgerfi and Fuddruckers to more elegant restaurants like Copper Canyon Grill and Masa Hibachi. Ellsworth closes to vehicular traffic on weekends to provide visitors to its shops and restaurants with live music, arts festivals, and a farmer’s market. Fun seekers can even enjoy ice-skating downtown in the winter.
Silver Spring has also emerged as a cultural destination as the home of the American Film Institute Silver Theatre, The Fillmore Silver Spring, The Round House Theater, and the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center. These venues provide Silver Spring residents and visitors with award-winning films and film festivals, rock, latin, blues, jazz, folk, and country concerts, more than 200 stage performances a season, and even key cultural lectures.
“Downtown Silver Spring has morphed into Montgomery County’s version of Brooklyn,” according to Bethesda Magazine. “New hot spots have popped up alongside cool neighborhood institutions, giving the area a unique character and hip vibe.”
We are proud to be a part of Silver Spring’s economic boom, which has also attracted Discovery Channel headquarters, and more businesses seeking to be a part of this city’s bright future.
