Hoops for Heroes! Northrop Realty Announces Partnership In Aid Of USO

Friday, November 12th, 2010 at 12:00pm.

The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate is proud to announce our partnership with the University of Maryland Men’s Basketball “Hoops for Heroes” program to benefit the USO.

The mission of the USO is to support the efforts of our servicemen and servicewomen defending our country both at home and abroad.

“The Hoops for Heroes program benefitting the USO is a great way for our team to enhance our wonderful Baltimore and Washington, D.C. communities, and support the excellent work of the USO organization, which does so much for our brave men and women in uniform and their families,” said Creig Northrop.

For every three-pointer scored by the Terps men’s basketball team during the 2010-2011 regular season, The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate will donate to the USO of Metropolitan Washington. In 2009-2010, the team scored a total of 2,393 points in 30 games.

“I am a University of Maryland graduate, Class of 1988, and have been a Terps fan all my life. We also launched a Government & Military Sales division within the last two years, so it was a natural fit to partner with my alma mater and give back to a well-respected organization like the USO,” said Northrop.

The Hoops for Heroes program will be supported throughout the season by the integrated marks of Maryland Athletics, The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate, and the USO, and will include: a co-branded press release, in-arena scoreboard mentions, public address announcements, LED displays, live reads and updates on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, spots during their bi-weekly television programs, features on the UMTerps.com , ads in each Game Day program, a season-ending on-court check presentation, and a pregame interview with play-by-play announcer Johnny Holliday.

The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate looks forward to a great season for Terp’s Men’s Basketball.
